Lee Ann Donaldson is a professional tarot card reader and teacher of practical magick, living in the heart of Downtown Asheville, where she currently teaches various workshops and reads tarot cards at A Far Away Place.

Lee Ann’s love affair and never ending journey with tarot began in 1993 while living on Little Torch Key. While trying to find the perfect deck of tarot cards for her friend’s birthday, Lee Ann was immediately drawn to the images of the cards, which she describes as an unspoken, timeless language.

By 2003, Lee Ann moved to Greensboro, North Carolina, where she was persuaded to read tarot cards professionally once a week at a metaphysical shop. Lee Ann’s passion for tarot and practical magick led to teaching various workshops and to creating her own  business, The Irish Muse: Tarot & Practical Magick.

In 2009 Lee Ann moved to Asheville without a plan. The only thing she knew for certain was that she would do what she loved best in the world; teach tarot and magick. She feels that Tarot and Magick are amazing tools to be used for spiritual growth and self-empowerment. Ultimately, Lee Ann’s mission is to help others find their passion so they can live the lives they were always meant to live. She loves being able to get that across to people. In her mind this is the way it works: “Do what inspires you most and inevitably it will lead you where you need to go.” Lee Ann is living proof of this.

I have been a Seeker my entire life. My spirituality and ancestry are eclectic. I am an Irish, German and Cherokee mix. I have been on an Earth Based/Goddess path for over two decades. I am a Teacher, Tarot Consultant, and Intuitive. I had my first reading when I was thirteen. The images fascinated me, they still do. I am also a professional writer and editor. I recently graduated from Goddard College with my MFA in creative writing.

I work with sacred images to explore possibilities and potential. I have been reading and interpreting the cards for nineteen years. I believe that interpreting the Tarot is a form of sacred storytelling, a re-thinking/re-imagining and a re-telling of a life story from an expanded perspective. Healing occurs when people reconnect to their soul stories. A reading empowers the Seeker to make informed choices and decisions about how they would like to create the outcome of their story. I identify cards or energies that represent blocks in the client’s life. I offer suggestions on ways to remove or work with them so that balance is restored. Along with divination, the Tarot can be utilized for introspection, reflection, clarification, ritual, meditation, visualization, journey, path working, and healing practices. I believe that the Tarot plays a role, much like our dreams. The images are able to express our inner state. I view them as a mirror— the reflections are not of the physical body but of the heart.

I am an Intuitive. My intuitive information comes to me via images, feelings, an inner voice, symbolic pictures and “knowings.” I am able to read the energy around a situation or question. When I do an intuitive reading I attempt to read on many different levels, including the physical and the spiritual. This makes for a multi-layered reading that gives clear practical advice on how to move forward with your life. Along with guidance an intuitive reading provides validation for who you are and what you are creating and learning in your life. These sessions are intended to support your own process and assist you in creating positive changes in your life. An intuitive reading assists the client in reconnecting to one’s true self and own inner wisdom.

      I grew up among people who experienced ghosts and accepted psychic abilities, or extra ordinary perception (ESP), as it was called back then, as normal. When I was 17, I stumbled upon an unopened box of Tarot cards and a book in the basement. I promptly opened them and began my first reading. Having no experience, I used what I call 'the recipe method' - I just read the meanings from the book. I don't remember my question, but I do remember the answer - "I would get money and travel." I quickly dismissed this preposterous answer and forgot about the reading - until it came true.
     Throughout the next 37 years, I taught myself and gave readings to friends.
I also attended programs in psychic development, meditation, tarot, etc.
I've studied with Rachel Pollack and Mary Greer at the Omega Institute, and
at the Tarot School in New York City.
     I get information through all channels: internal sight, words and phrases,
physical sensations, emotions, and 'just knowing.' Despite the outcome of my first reading, mine usually aren't about making predictions. I'm not likely to tell you that you're going to win the lottery. I'm going to reveal hidden influences to help you make the best decisions and create your own future.

I bring my talents to the table as a Palm Reader, creating and developing my own unique style, using the hands as a “Doorway to the All” and creating the “Tree of Life of Life Reading”. You are your own Tree of Life. Combining the Tree I see in You, and the palms together - I follow the branches out to the twigs, with all of its Energy and Information. If I feel the energy stronger elsewhere after the information is
given, I go to where the energy is following its lead or branch. In your palms, are what you have Pre-Destined for Yourself , How you are living it, as well as
the Choices you are making and — or not making. People who have passed, Hidden Talents and of course the Big Relationships and Money. So many directions, your hands show me where to go best.
